As a stable and thriving practice, we have therapists who have been with us from 6 months, building a full practice after the 2020 pandemic closure, to 10+ years. We have a team environment where we compete with ourselves and not each other.
Skin to Soul was founded in 2006 by Nicole Russo, LMT, BS. Nicole is a massage therapist with over 12+ years of experience who still practices bodywork and understands the demands it places on your body. Our Hiring Manager, Jen is a LMT with 5+ years of experience.
Requirements For Employment:
- A current Massachusetts massage license
- Active liability insurance
- Be willing to follow all Studio Covid protocol including wearing a mask at all times when on shift.
- Be willing to work as a team with other therapists
Our New Leveling System:
At Skin to Soul, we realize there is a very short ceiling to your career at most other bodywork chains and centers in the area and yet a vast difference in skill set, experience level and knowledge. In the past, the only way to advance in your career as a therapist was to leave your place of employment and strike out on your own. We recognize that many therapists may not want the additional stress of running a business and being isolated from a team of others and would rather continue to practice their craft in a supportive environment like Skin to Soul. That’s why, like many salons you may go to, we have created a type of levelling system for our therapists to honor their experience, and continued dedication to their education.
In all transparency, Skin to Soul was originally created by a massage therapist and structured to run as lean as possible, in order to give all extra to our therapists. Our therapists make more than the majority of other therapists that work for companies or chains, sometimes double or even triple what they might make at another company. We do our best to keep our overhead costs as low as possible so that you may enjoy the lowest prices we can offer, while still paying our staff the pay we feel they deserve.
Our therapists are grouped into different levels of expertise and specialty based on merit. These levels depend on years of years of working with Skin to Soul, specialty therapies, client retention and client demand. Each therapist has the opportunity to advance to each level. Just because you are a starting level therapist with us, does not mean you dont have years of experience.

- Flat rate base pay model (meaning your commission will never decrease due to discounted services) + Tips and Bonuses
- Lowest starting rate for a LMT is $30 for a 60m. session

- 30 minute breaks between sessions
- Scheduling Flexibility- We require you to work 2 weekend shifts each month (a total of 12 hours combined) or 4 night shifts each week. Other than that you can make your own schedule depending on room availability.
- No blackout dates for vacation time around Holidays.
- Closed for business on Christmas Eve, Christmas, after 3pm on New Years Eve, and New Years Day.

Level Descriptions
PROFESSIONAL LEVEL- MASSAGE AND REIKI

- Pay range $30- $35 cap
- To get to Mix level you need to learn a specialty therapy (aka MFR, Ashi, Thai, Lymphatic, etc.)
- To jump to Blue level for Massage you need:
- 40% future fill
- 55% retention
- To have worked at s2s for at least 2 years
- Qualify for a raise of at least $0.25 for 3 raises during this period
OPTIONAL MIX PROFESSIONAL LEVEL AND SPECIALIZED LEVEL- Massage and Specialty Therapies Combined

- Pay range $35-39 for Specialties AND $30- $35 for Massage
- To jump fully to BLUE level you need:
- 40% future fill
- 55% retention
- To have worked at s2s for at least 2 years
- Qualify for a raise of at least $0.25 for 3 raises during this period
SPECIALIZED LEVEL- MASSAGE AND SPECIALTY THERAPIES

- Pay range $40- $45
- To jump to Peach level you need:
- 40% future fill
- 65% retention
- To have worked at s2s for at least 3 years
- Qualify for a raise of at least $0.25 for 3 raises during this period since last level jump
ADVANCED LEVEL- MASSAGE AND SPECIALTY THERAPIES

- Pay range $50- $55
- To jump to next level you need:
- 40% future fill
- 65% retention
- To have worked at s2s for at least 5 years
- Qualify for a raise of at least $0.25 for 3 consecutive 6 month periods.
EXPERT LEVEL- MASSAGE AND SPECIALTY THERAPIES
Pay range $65- $75
This is our highest level for Massage at this time. Must Level into this position.
To be hired at this level you must be an Expert Level John Barnes Massage Therapist. Proof of completion of MFR 3 required at time of application.
MASTER LEVEL MYOFASCIAL RELEASE AND TEACHERS
$100 and up
Must be considered by our owner for this position. We are not currently hiring at this Level, but are leveling staff into this level.
