Meet Maxwell Quinton, Professional Level LMT
Maxwell graduated from Spa Tech Institute of Massage Therapy in 2022. His style is a deep tissue therapeutic. He likes combining deep tissue work with an assortment of stretches to work the muscles and target areas as best as possible. He specializes in hip, low back and leg pain. He started really focusing on the lower body at first as a way to help his mom. She has chronic hip pain and he wanted to help ease that pain. Because of this interest he has found a love of working with different types of ailments / injuries whether it be sciatic nerve pain, stiff necks, hip pain, ankle injuries, pulled muscles, chronic pain, injuries from everyday wear and tear, etc. He feels connected with the work and feeling the change of the musculature under his hands.
Before becoming a massage therapist, he worked in food service for a time. Maxwell didn’t know what he wanted to do after high school, so he took some time off instead of committing to a 4 year college. His friends were making that commitment, even though they didn’t know what they wanted to do either. He decided to take his time to think about what he wanted and who he wanted to be. He has always loved helping people and over his year off he started to get into health and wellness a lot more. He would give his mom massages often and she always told him how good he was at them. She encouraged him to go to school for massage, but at first he shrugged it off. One day, he started looking at massage schools online just to see what was out there. He wanted to do his research and start considering the idea. He found that Spa Tech had opened a new location close by. He set up a meeting, and after feeling the energy of it, applied on the spot.
When not at work you can find him hanging out with his 3 cats, or playing guitar. He loves music and is a theater kid to this day.
